This has been a great way to get their brains going without having to do busy work. Students start their day with play and imagination which has made such a positive impact on our day! There have been mornings when students come in, not feeling their best, then their mood instantly changes, thanks to the bins and collaboration time! \r\nWhen our packages first arrived, the students screamed with excitement! I even had to remind them to use their indoor voices. They are having noticings, wonderings, and realizations of what the artist wants them to know with evidence from the visual text. I can't wait to see what the next 3 weeks brings with their final masterpieces.\r\n\r\nIn the last 6 days and lessons, student have grown as artists. In the photos, you will see how students are practicing how the element of art of space shows fore, middle, and background. Also, we have practiced how artists use the size of an object to show emphasize to the power of meaning for that object even if not realistic. Finally, the students tried out the element of art of direction which shows meaning. Oblique lines mean movement. I can't wait to watch these artists bloom!
