The students were moving with their entire body and arms just like real goalkeeping but better! A sound track was playing in the background and each goal scored them points for a ranking system. On a hot day like this where students just stood around to beat the heat, your generosity made it possible for our students to enjoy the benefits of indoor recess. Due to our budget constraint, the students were able to take a leather poke to take home but was not able to participate in the gold panning experience. We are utilizing our new tools to meet our goals. My students are very energetic and had a difficult time staying at their desk. The stools gives them an opportunity to use their classroom as productive learning environment rather staying at their desk and feeling confined. They are using the stools to move around the room with their classmates and collaborate. \r\n\r\nThe 100 Number Chart is a resources students reach for during math. At the beginning of the year, students were able to add and subtract. Any student who does not understand the concept of double-digit addition or subtraction I am able to walk them through regrouping in small groups. As we are progressing through the curriculum students are learning how to skip-count on the 100 Number Chart. \r\n\r\nOur goal is to have students work independently and collaboratively throughout the day. We have made small steps everyday since our new tools have been introduced.
