My students absolutely love the books and daily we are engaging with and enjoying the books purchased with your donations. Each student has a copy of their dictionary and thesaurus, utilizing them in their reading and writing blocks to look up vocabulary words and improve their writing word choice. This has proved to be an incredibly valuable resource! I plan to send them home with the students at the end of the year.\r\n\r\nMy intention with the past two fundraisers is to increase student reading by having them read from book series that they gave input on and that were contemporary and engaging. The result is a very happy and engaged reading classroom! Do I have to ask them to put their reading books away when they are supposed to be working on a different assignment? Sometimes... Do I mind? No!
