As a lifelong lover of reading, being able to share that passion with my students means so much to me. My students have now settled into the new school year and set goals for their own reading growth. The books you've provided have already played a huge role in helping them choose and engage with reading.\r\n\r\nIn these first few weeks, I've been doing book talks and first-chapter read-alouds with the new titles. Many of the books are already in students' hands, and others are eagerly waiting to check them out as soon as they're returned. What excites me most is seeing how these books appeal to all my students—boys and girls alike—and spark genuine conversations full of excitement and eagerness. It's not every day you see middle schoolers talking enthusiastically about books!\r\n\r\nThere are even several titles I'm eager to read myself. Thank you again for your incredible support—it truly makes a difference in my classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1746787122457,"projectUrl":"project/for-the-love-of-books/9199853/","projectTitle":"For the Love of Books","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Atkinson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7941135_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y54&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1630377143621","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7941135"},{"teacherId":9274494,"projectId":8916839,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your incredibly generous donation to the Dungeons and Dragons Club! When I wheeled my cart containing the books for the first time, they were so excited and one student asked, \"Do I get to use my own book?\" Yes, each group now has their own DM Guide and Monster Manual for the DM. No more, \"Where is the (only) DM guide?\". \r\n\r\nStudents are using the Players Guides to create new characters that were previously unavailable to them. Having such diversity is so much fun and I love hearing the students get excited to tell me what they did during the campaign. They have also become more adept at looking things up and are helping each other. When someone asked where to find something in the book, they were told by another student to use the index in the back to find out. \r\n\r\nAdditionally, one player who has never expressed interest in the Game Master role has created his own campaigns using the Players Guide along with the Monster Manual and Dungeon Master's Guide while another student made a Dungeon Crawl. This club was formed to encourage students to use their imaginations and to put their phones away. Your donation of these books facilitate that initial goal and I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart. This club means so much to my students and to myself and we are so very grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1739038918302,"projectUrl":"project/dungeons-dragons-club-needs-to-level-u/8916839/","projectTitle":"Dungeons & Dragons Club needs to Level up","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ivie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9274494"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_32415","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":960,"numTeachers":42,"percentFrplEligible":66,"percentAsian":7,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":52,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":31,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"22.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":83.5,"schoolId":32415,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Warren T Eich Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Warren T Eich Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/roseville-city-school-district/warren-t-eich-interm-school/32415"}
