I am appreciative of the donation and blown away by the generosity. Over the years, I have found that there is more buy-in for reading when students have instant access to books. I love to provide high interest books to my students that they actually want to read. My school has a large library, but it is shared with nearly 1500 students. Having books right in my classroom where students can get a book as soon as they want and return it with little effort has made a huge impact on the amount of reading my students do. \r\n\r\nThe books began arriving at the end of the previous school year, and those students were disappointed that they did not have the opportunity or time to read them. This year, students are already asking when they will be able to check out one of the new books. Having students already excited for a book they will get the chance to read brings me so much joy. When independent reading begins next week, I have no doubt that many of my students are going to jump in and start reading.","fullyFundedDate":1778226196780,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-library-for-the-win/10245292/","projectTitle":"Classroom Library for the Win!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Torrey","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10489441"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_67396","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1421,"numTeachers":59,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":90,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":1,"gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"24.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":83.3,"schoolId":67396,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about William G Jehue Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"William G Jehue Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/rialto-unified-school-district/william-g-jehue-middle-school/67396"}
