The pencils and loose-leaf paper ensure that every student can participate in our daily quick-writes, even if they cannot bring their own supplies to school. The file folders were purchased in our school colors and keep everyone's work safe and organized in the classroom. Finally, the color paper (blue, green, and yellow) is the most essential tool for printing our essay graphic organizers for each student. They help me visually track where students are in the writing process and provide vital structure for students who need extra support. It may seem like a simple thing, but that paper is expensive and using it really helps to break down the process!\r\nMost importantly, with pencils and paper we are writing our essays out by hand. Students are not always on the Chromebook and have to rely on their own thought process for essay writing.
