Time got away from me during the most busy time of year. Your support and generosity have meant so much to me. Not only will my current students benefit from this project, but future classes will as well thanks to the durability and exceptional quality of this piece of furniture. When the mailboxes were delivered to our classroom, the entire class was very excited to use it and have a small space to call their own. I quickly got each slot labeled with nametags and a special sticker for each name to help identify their space.\r\n\r\nSince we received our mailboxes, students have utilized them daily as a place to put their finished work, correspondence to go home and keeping work that they want to complete later. At the end of the day, students empty their mailboxes and organize the items into their green folders to take home. They have learned where their mailbox is, how to safely remove their items and safely get back to their desks with all papers.\r\n\r\nThis has been an absolute gamechanger with teaching students responsibility in managing their own belongings and a sense of pride in taking their work home to share with families. I take pride in making my classroom a safe and enjoyable place for learning. Organization and responsibility are two skills that are essential in life and should be taught at an early age.
