Students were able to apply what they have learned to understand Newton's Second Law (F=ma) with respect to weight and air resistance and thrust forces. \r\nThe best part was they were all able to experience the hands on nature of this lab because each lab team had a drone to operate. It was one of the best labs I've done to date based on the excitement of the students and the how much they wanted to play with the drones the following days. \r\nThank you for the generous donation and the opportunity for my students to better understand forces and why drones are not only a toy, but job aides and tools to use in a lot of different career paths. The hands on Ohm's Law experiment kits allowed them to see how resistance affects current with supplied voltage. It brought them a deeper and richer understanding that I will be able to do every year for many years.\r\nThe value of doing this experiment hands on vs online is immeasurable. Not only was the lab educational, but it was a lot of fun as students all had to participate: turning the crank on the generator, varying the resistance, measuring the voltage, taking notes from the observations. Whereas before, if they were lucky, they could get access to the one color printer in the library that serves the entire school.
