This contribution has had an immediate and meaningful impact on both instruction and student learning, and we are truly grateful for the support. The donated materials are actively being integrated into daily math instruction to better support the diverse needs of students. The materials have also strengthened small group and individualized instruction. Educators are better able to work closely with students who need additional support, using the resources to reinforce foundational skills and address specific areas of need. At the same time, these materials allow for enrichment opportunities, ensuring that all learners continue to grow. This level of differentiation is essential in meeting students where they are and helping them progress toward mathematical proficiency. We are deeply appreciative of this contribution and the opportunities it has created for our students. The materials continue to be used purposefully to enhance instruction and support student achievement in mathematics. This generosity is making a lasting difference, and its impact will be seen in the continued growth and confidence of our students.","fullyFundedDate":1763922993849,"projectUrl":"project/printing-for-progress-math-intervention/9548585/","projectTitle":"Printing for Progress: Math Intervention Materials in Action","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Russell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9890152"},{"teacherId":9136133,"projectId":9496766,"letterContent":"The addition of the iPad has made a meaningful difference in how my students engage with math. Many of my students are developing their math skills and are also learning English, so having visual and interactive tools has been incredibly helpful. Instead of only hearing explanations, students can now see the thinking process as I write directly on the iPad and project it to the TV. This allows them to follow each step, ask questions in real time, and participate more confidently in note taking.\r\n\r\nTechnology has also helped make practice more engaging. Using interactive platforms like Kahoot and Quizizz, students are able to review key concepts in a fun and collaborative way. These games turn practice into something students look forward to, while still reinforcing important math skills. The instant feedback also helps students quickly recognize mistakes and learn from them.\r\n\r\nOne of the most exciting tools for my students has been the Notability app. They enjoy watching problems being worked out live on the screen and seeing different strategies modeled step by step. It has helped many of them stay more focused during lessons and feel more comfortable trying problems themselves.\r\n\r\nI have especially seen growth in students who are usually more hesitant to participate. The visual support and interactive nature of the lessons give them more confidence to ask questions and share ideas. Students who once struggled to stay engaged are now eager to join in class activities and celebrate their progress.\r\n\r\nThanks to this technology, our classroom has become a more interactive and supportive learning environment. My students are not only strengthening their math skills, but they are also building confidence in their ability to learn and succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1761935425936,"projectUrl":"project/enhancing-learning-with-interactive-tech/9496766/","projectTitle":"Enhancing Learning with Interactive Technology: iPads in the Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. CHIA","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9136133_orig.jpg?crop=1440,1440,x243,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1701884286825","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9136133"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_92753","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":540,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":39,"percentAsian":15,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":36,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":41,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"7 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"20.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":88.5,"schoolId":92753,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Bernardo Yorba Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Bernardo Yorba Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/placentia-yorba-linda-usd/bernardo-yorba-middle-school/92753"}
