Not every student is confident to speak up, but they can participate in class daily. As a teacher I notice attitudes, excitement, willingness and engagement everyday in each student and I have noticed an improvement in their collaboration and skill sets. Some days are easier then other days, especially in math class. Math can be intimidating. That is why I decided to ask for donations to get the math manipulative for my classroom. I have noticed a positive change in their willingness to work with decimals and numbers. These are some improvements that have created a better overall class understanding of the math problems in the curriculum.\r\n\r\n* Fraction related questions\r\n* Measurement confidence\r\n* Decimal skills improved\r\n* Increased understanding of place values\r\n\r\nBy using each manipulative as a visual way to see math problems their social side of math discussions have been easier for them to maintain.
