Up until now, our brass section has marched trombones which are great instruments, but difficult to maneuver and not ideal for depth of sound a competitive marching ensemble needs. The moment my students saw the baritone, they crowded around it, and were all admiring its beauty, a new baritone is an experience most stdunet never get to have! The excitement and pride this single instrument brought into the room was incredible. It immediately raised the bar for what our ensemble believes it can achieve.\r\n\r\nBecause of this new baritone, we've already begun transitioning the section toward a fuller, richer marching sound As a new band director who grew up marching this exact instrument, it means the world to me to give my students the same life changing experience I had. Your generosity directly strengthens our program's competitiveness, our students' musicianship. This semester has gone so much smoother since this project was funded! In our high school classes, students were able to rehearse more confidently, with fuller tone and far fewer squeaks, with a more consistent sound as a section, because they were all playing on the same higher quality reed! This makes running rehearsals so much smoother, and students do not have to worry about not having the equipment to participate if something happens to their reed! This generosity didn't just provide supplies it removed barriers that were holding students back from sounding like the musicians they're striving to become.\r\n\r\nMy beginners are working on their first full-band pieces, and are finally able to match pitch and blend without struggling against equipment issues. Meanwhile, my high school students are preparing for our upcoming winter concert, using the new reeds to refine tone quality and intonation. The momentum in our classroom is incredible right now. Your contribution made it possible for my students to have their own geometry compasses and healthy snacks—two simple but powerful resources that have made a real difference in both their learning and well-being.\r\nWe've already begun using the compasses in our geometry lessons to explore circles, arcs, and geometric constructions. For many students, this was their first time using a compass, and their excitement was contagious! They were amazed to see how precise and creative geometry can be when they have the right tools. One student even said, \"Now I finally get how this works!\" Seeing their confidence grow as they constructed perfect circles and accurate designs was incredibly rewarding.\r\nThe snacks have also had a meaningful impact. Many students come to class hungry or low on energy, especially in the later periods of the day. Having something to eat before or during class has helped them stay focused, calm, and ready to learn. It's been heartwarming to see how something so small can make such a big difference in their attention and participation.\r\nThanks to your generosity, our classroom feels more supported, energized, and equipped for success. The next step for my students is to use their compasses in a collaborative geometry art project, where they'll design and label intricate geometric patterns to display in our classroom. This project will reinforce both mathematical precision and creativity—values that truly reflect the spirit of this donation.\r\nYour kindness reminds my students that people believe in their potential and care about their learning journey.
