Access to science and engineering materials has allowed students to experiment, build, and test ideas, transforming abstract concepts into meaningful, real-world learning. These activities have increased student engagement and encouraged curiosity, collaboration, and perseverance.\r\n\r\nArt supplies have supported self-expression and fine motor development while enhancing academic learning across subjects. Students used a variety of materials to illustrate scientific observations, design structures, and represent mathematical thinking through creative projects. Together, STEAM and art resources have helped create an inclusive learning environment where students can explore concepts in multiple ways and build confidence as learners. These materials have fostered innovation, strengthened foundational skills, and inspired a lifelong interest in discovery and creativity.","fullyFundedDate":1763474846088,"projectUrl":"project/all-things-steam/9858415/","projectTitle":"All Things STEAM","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Patterson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9553253_orig.jpg?crop=240,240,x0,y40&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1737315335132","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9553253"},{"teacherId":9553253,"projectId":9723757,"letterContent":"The Warm Hearts and Hands initiative has had a meaningful impact on my students by meeting both their emotional and physical needs. Through donated hats and mittens, students have been able to stay warm and comfortable during cold mornings and outdoor activities, allowing them to focus better on learning rather than on discomfort. Many students came to school without proper winter gear, and receiving these items helped them feel cared for, valued, and included.\r\n\r\nThe Book Buddies program has supported literacy while also providing emotional comfort. Students were excited to receive their own reading companion, which increased motivation to read and participate in literacy activities. For some children, their Book Buddy became a source of security and confidence, especially during independent reading or transitions. This simple gift encouraged a positive connection with books and helped foster a love of reading.\r\n\r\nTogether, Warm Hearts and Hands has created an environment where students feel supported not only academically, but personally. By providing warmth, comfort, and encouragement, this program has strengthened relationships, improved classroom morale, and reinforced the message that school is a safe and caring place for every child.","fullyFundedDate":1763474855163,"projectUrl":"project/warm-hearts-for-the-holidays/9723757/","projectTitle":"Warm Hearts for the Holidays","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Patterson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9553253_orig.jpg?crop=240,240,x0,y40&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1737315335132","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9553253"},{"teacherId":8466386,"projectId":8943533,"letterContent":"The donation of sensory toys and games has significantly enhanced my speech therapy services for both general education and special education students in elementary school. These tools have provided engaging, hands-on ways to support language development, articulation, and social communication. For general education students, sensory toys help maintain attention and motivation, making speech exercises more interactive and enjoyable. In special education, these resources are essential for students with sensory processing challenges, autism, or developmental delays, as they provide calming input and improve focus during sessions. The variety of textures, colors, and interactive features in the toys help reinforce learning while making therapy sessions more effective and engaging.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, the sensory toys and games have fostered more inclusive and individualized therapy approaches. Many of my students struggle with verbal expression, and incorporating sensory elements has given them alternative ways to communicate and participate. For example, fidget toys help reduce anxiety, allowing students to feel more comfortable practicing speech sounds and language skills. Games with tactile components encourage turn-taking, social interaction, and expressive language in a natural, low-pressure environment. This donation has not only enriched my therapy sessions but also strengthened students' confidence and engagement, ultimately leading to meaningful progress in their communication skills.","fullyFundedDate":1731940444570,"projectUrl":"project/enhancing-speech-therapy-with-gamessens/8943533/","projectTitle":"Enhancing Speech Therapy with Games/Sensory Toys for All Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. G","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8466386"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_79650","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":654,"numTeachers":29,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":13,"percentWhite":6,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":75,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"22.6:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":53.1,"schoolId":79650,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Amy B Seibert Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Amy B Seibert Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/panama-buena-vista-union-school-district/amy-b-seibert-elementary-school/79650"}
