With your support, my classroom purchased items such as a sand and play table, kinetic sand, and multisensory items to help aid in students' social, emotional, and intellectual knowledge. These items are used daily, during the class choice time in which students have different options to engage with the items. In one bin, they dig through the sand with a sand kit to find specific letters, identify the letters, and match them to the clipboard; in another bin, they are able to go fishing for letters using a fishing rod and magnetic letters; and finally, in the last bin, they sort through colorful rice to look for letters. These items add a different dimension to their learning of the alphabet, to improve their literacy skills in fun and creative ways.
