Distance learning is very challenging and frustrating, but with the right tools, it can be so much easier. I need to be readily accessible to my students so they can participate in Zoom classes, communicate with them regarding their work, provide engaging instruction and be available for technical support. As of right now, this is not possible because my current computer randomly shuts off on its own and doesn't turn back on until days later. This is very frustrating for me. The only remedy being either to wait until the computer comes back on or use a student computer that I brought home to use just in case. The only problem with using a student computer is that I have limited access to teacher software and programs. An Apple MacBook will help me provide uninterrupted Zoom lessons, allow me to communicate with my students regarding their work, and be readily available to them for any and all of their technological needs. Having a reliable computer will allow me to do multiple things and adequately communicate with my students and families.
