Many of our students 1) get dysregulated easily 2) are dysregulated most of the time. They don't know it and the dysregulation sometimes is so big that mindfulness breathing is not enough. The blankets help them to settle their bodies down. Once they do that, they can then start to take deep breaths and feel the ease and comfort that that brings. \r\n\r\nI also have younger students in kindergarten who can't even stop running around the room. The new resources you provided — including markers, teddy bears, stickers, a treasure box, and fun erasers — have brought so much joy and motivation to our classroom. When my students first saw everything, their eyes lit up. One student hugged our new teddy bear and said, \"I'm going to read with him every day!\" It was such a sweet moment that showed how meaningful these items are to them.\r\n\r\nWe've been using the SIPPS program daily to build foundational literacy skills, and these new materials have played a huge role in that success. The markers and stickers have helped us make phonics practice fun and colorful, while the treasure box and erasers have been amazing motivators for meeting reading goals. The teddy bears have become reading buddies during independent time, helping students feel calm and focused as they build fluency. One of my reluctant readers now looks forward to reading every day because she gets to do it with our class teddy bear.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we're continuing our SIPPS lessons and encouraging even more reading independence and confidence.
