Putting books into the hands of our students will bring them joy, and give them an even larger thirst for reading. Enriching their library with high-quality books helps them academically with their reading skills and comprehension, and shows them that even though they are in flatlands school, people care about them and their education. We have found when students bring library books home, their entire families are enriched, as their siblings and parents also read along, gaining English fluency, and developing a life-long habit of reading for pleasure and learning. A book purchased for a library has its value multiplied many fold, reaching students and families alike.

About my class
