The story books help the children learn about problem-solving and think optimistically. The balls can help them express their energy and develop their gross motor skills. The ball activities and the seats also help children who have sensory issues to learn how to control their bodies. The toy shelf helps the classroom to be more organized.\r\n\tThe wobble cushions and soft seats help the children sit for a longer time during circle time. The children who choose to use the seat, learn that they need to sit in the back so they will not bother others when they sit and move around on the seats. The children also use the seats as a heavy-sensory toy on their laps, so they will not touch each other while they are in circle time.\r\n\tThe children love \"Pete the Cat\" stories a lot, and they enjoy the stories and answer the questions more than other books. They picture read the books by themselves and connect to their own lives by sharing stories of their own pets and imaginary pets with others.\r\n\tThe children have more fun time and enjoy coming to school. According to the parents, the children cried because they wanted to go to school even though they were sick and needed to stay home. I am glad that the children love to come to school and enjoy school life. I hope that will impact their life in the future, that they can learn different skills while they are learning and having fun at the same time.","fullyFundedDate":1733296870883,"projectUrl":"project/im-playing-im-learning/8648410/","projectTitle":"I’m Playing, I’m Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Iris","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9054296"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_130955","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":null,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":74,"percentAsian":9,"percentBlack":18,"percentWhite":9,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":46,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Not specified","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"UNCLASSIFIED","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":83.3,"schoolId":130955,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Manzanita Child Development Center on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Manzanita Child Development Center","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/oakland-unified-school-district/manzanita-child-development-center/130955"}
