Students have daily time to read independently, share book recommendations with classmates, and discuss stories during small groups and whole-class conversations. They choose books that interest them, reread favorites, and learn that reading is not just a school task but something to enjoy and talk about. Books are accessible throughout the day, encouraging students to pick them up during transitions, quiet moments, or when they finish work early.\r\n\r\nMany students are especially excited about these new books. Reluctant readers are drawn to humorous series like Dog Man and Wayside School, which help them feel successful and motivated to keep reading. Other students who are ready for longer texts are proudly tackling chapter book collections and returning to class eager to share their favorite parts. Seeing students recommend books to one another and eagerly ask for \"the next one in the series\" is a powerful reminder of the impact these donations have made.","fullyFundedDate":1758214944411,"projectUrl":"project/growing-readers-with-beloved-book-collec/9718114/","projectTitle":"Growing Readers with Beloved Book Collections","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. LaVoie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8979477_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754629076289","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8979477"},{"teacherId":9841864,"projectId":9158793,"letterContent":"Your contribution has been really appreciate during writing time, the students were very happy with the materials they received and now we don't need to wait for one to finish and borrow the whiteboard or market, now we have enough material for everyone.
