My students live in an environment where it is difficult to learn--they live in a place where circumstances are not under their control. However, I absolutely refuse to lower my expectations of my students. They are talented and gifted, and it is now my challenge to prove this not only to others, but also to them. In my classroom, my students can control their own trajectory and growth. I will continue to work to provide opportunities to my students to help them succeed. I believe every single one of them can be successful when given the tools and encouragement they need.
