I told my students that if they kept up with their work all week and didn't have any missing assignments by Friday, they'd earn the chance to play during the last 30 minutes of class.\r\n\r\nTheir reaction was incredible. You could see the motivation immediately—students who normally struggle to finish work were pushing themselves, and others were jumping in to help classmates get caught up so that everyone could join in. When we unpacked the games, the first thing they did was carefully write my name on each one so we all knew these belong to our classroom community.\r\n\r\nIt was such a proud teacher moment watching them take ownership, encourage one another, and work harder simply because they knew the reward was coming. These resources are already more than \"just games\"—they're helping us build teamwork, accountability, and joy in our learning space.","fullyFundedDate":1749952573322,"projectUrl":"project/spanish-friday-for-high-schoolers/9404853/","projectTitle":"Spanish Friday for High Schoolers","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. HERAS","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10052955_orig.png?crop=487,488,x0,y3&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1749496146604","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10052955"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_98271","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2228,"numTeachers":89,"percentFrplEligible":57,"percentAsian":6,"percentBlack":6,"percentWhite":32,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":45,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"25.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":90.3,"schoolId":98271,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Murrieta Mesa High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Murrieta Mesa High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/murrieta-valley-unified-school-district/murrieta-mesa-high-school/98271"}
