The custodian brought it to the classroom during the middle of class, planning to put it aside and open it up after school. The kids begged him to unroll it right away because they were too excited to wait, and he obliged. They actually cheered when it was finally in place and our grungy old outdoor rug was on its way out the door.\r\n\r\nThe new rug has made such a difference in our classroom. First of all, it is very aesthetically pleasing; it's so bright and cheerful! More importantly, now everyone has a spot, with room to spare. It's even big enough for all of us to sit in a circle for morning meeting without anyone having to sit on the hard floor. The best thing about our new carpet is the ability I now have to assign spots.
