Your contribution allowed us to receive a beautiful new alphabet carpet for our library, and I am thrilled to share how it is making an incredible impact on our students and our learning environment.\r\n\r\nSince the carpet arrived, it has quickly become a central part of our library space. Kindergarten through third-grade students have loved gathering on the carpet during story time, creating an inviting and comfortable setting for them to engage with books and stories. The carpet has also been used in small group interventions, where students work together to identify letters and practice spelling words in a hands-on, interactive way.\r\n\r\nOur middle school students have enjoyed reading to younger children on the carpet as well. It's been heartwarming to see them sitting side by side with younger students, sharing stories in such a cozy and welcoming environment, rather than sitting at tables. The carpet has truly created a space where learning feels fun and engaging.\r\n\r\nYour thoughtful donation has brightened up our library and helped foster a love of reading and learning in our students. We are so excited to continue using the carpet in a variety of ways, whether it's for quiet reading, collaborative learning, or sharing a book with a friend. Your generosity has truly made a difference in our school, and we are deeply grateful.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your support. It means the world to us and to the students whose lives you have touched.","fullyFundedDate":1734565323228,"projectUrl":"project/loving-to-read-with-an-alphabet-carpet-f/8709061/","projectTitle":"Loving to Read with an Alphabet Carpet for Struggling Readers Needed","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hill","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8987500"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_40110","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":86,"numTeachers":4,"percentFrplEligible":83,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":54,"percentIndigenous":17,"percentLatinx":15,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"21.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":40110,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Montgomery Creek School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Montgomery Creek School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/mountain-union-school-district/montgomery-creek-school/40110"}
