My students have been so happy to have new books that they love and want to read over and over again.\r\n\r\nThe Choose Your Own Adventure books have been really fun for my students to read. Usually, I let the students decide if they want to just read a paragraph or if they want, they can choose to read an entire page. Often my students who are struggling more with reading will opt to only read a paragraph, but with these books the kids often want to read the entire page. The Choose Your Own Adventure books have options at the bottom of many of the pages and the students get to make a choice about what they want to do next in the story. Since the adventures in these books tend to be short we have been reading them over and over again to help the students gain fluency and confidence in their reading. Each adventure is different and the kids love being in charge of making choices in how the story will progress.\r\n\r\nThanks again for donating books to help my students grow into readers that understand reading is a joy.","fullyFundedDate":1733347724035,"projectUrl":"project/spread-the-joy-of-reading/8846687/","projectTitle":"Spread the Joy of Reading","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Dye","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5818242_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1539218021288","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5818242"},{"teacherId":2042608,"projectId":8508217,"letterContent":"Words cannot adequately describe how grateful my class and I are for the generous donations of books that you gave us.
