One of our favorite moments was a simple \"snack-and-create\" activity where students shared a treat while working on small art projects. The relaxed setting helped conversations flow naturally and allowed students to feel more comfortable opening up.\r\nThe younger students were immediately excited about the snacks—they loved having something comforting, and it really helped ease their shyness. Our mentors were thrilled about the art supplies because they make activities more engaging and help spark meaningful conversations.\r\nOur next steps are to continue using these resources to strengthen mentor–mentee relationships. We'll be incorporating more structured craft activities that promote teamwork, self-expression, and communication. Thanks to your kindness, we are able to continue providing a safe space for our young female students to explore what it means to be strong, independent young women.\r\n\r\nThis year's event will feature two incredible speakers who will address important topics such as female health and relationship responsibilities. Our goal is to empower the girls by discussing how to be supportive friends, how to navigate relationships safely, and most importantly, that they are never alone in their feelings as they grow up. Alongside these discussions, the students will create bags to hold menstrual supplies, which we hope will not only provide a practical resource but also serve as a symbol of the sisterhood we are building.\r\n\r\nI'm truly excited about the day ahead and cannot thank you enough for helping make it possible. This event would not have been achievable without your support, and I am incredibly grateful for your belief in our mission. The players are thrilled with the equipment, providing them with much-needed protection and comfort during practices and games. It's been a blessing, especially for our team, who previously had to make do with worn-out gear. The new softball bags have also made a significant impact. The players love how the bags hold all their gear and match, giving the team a unified look and boosting their team spirit. The excitement was palpable when they first saw the materials, which truly brought the team a sense of pride. This donation also opened up funds for the team to get new uniforms for the first time in 16 years, a significant step for the players' morale and team unity.\r\n\r\nThe next step for our players is to continue building team cohesion while improving their skills with the new equipment. The players are already using the new gear to enhance their performance, and we are planning a series of drills that will specifically focus on defensive skills, especially for the catchers. The players are motivated, and the new bags have sparked a sense of responsibility and camaraderie. We'll integrate these new resources into our training sessions to elevate our teamwork and individual performance. The new chairs and bean bag seating have made a huge difference in the counseling office. The flexible seating allows students to move the furniture around based on their social needs, and it's been especially popular during lunch. Many students have mentioned that the counseling office now has a \"good vibe,\" making it a place where they feel comfortable and supported. What was once an empty, cold room is now a cozy and inviting space where students feel at ease. On tough days, the bean bags are particularly appreciated for their calming effect, helping students de-escalate and find a moment of peace.\r\n\r\nThe students' reactions to the new seating were overwhelmingly positive. They immediately gravitated toward the comfortable options and expressed how much they enjoyed the new atmosphere. The impact has been felt in both their morale and the overall energy of the space. While we still need additional seating to accommodate the 400 students we serve, the resources provided have already left a lasting, positive impact.
