Because of your generosity, our classroom now has costumes and a beautiful backdrop that will help us bring learning to life through our very own spring play. Although we haven't performed our play yet, I have already started talking to my students about what we will be doing, and their excitement has been incredible. They are already asking questions about the costumes, the characters they might play, and when we get to begin!\r\nThis project will give my third graders an opportunity to learn in a completely different way. As we prepare for our spring performance, students will practice reading fluently, speaking clearly and confidently, working together, memorizing lines, and taking responsibility for their individual roles. Most importantly, they will get to experience the pride that comes from working together to create something special and then sharing it with an audience.\r\nWe cannot wait to begin rehearsals and finally put the costumes and backdrop to use. I know this will be one of those classroom experiences my students remember long after third grade.
