Being able to choose a book to take home, not just to borrow, but to own is a big deal at our school. We give rewards for reading and behavior that your donations make possible.\r\n Many kids that attend our school don't have any books of their own and many of our families do not have the means to buy them. Giving them this opportunity makes them feel special and more confident. Our students are excited about reading when they have choices. Of course when they enjoy what they read they retain the information and reading comprehension improves. \r\nReading is fundamental to any learning, so using books as an incentive for doing good things is a win, win. Seeing their faces when you give them a token for a free book of their choice is pure joy.
