Because of your kindness, I now have a way to safely store new lesson plans, ELA and math task cards, and story cards I've created to better support my students. Your support has given me peace of mind knowing that everything will be accessible and ready to meet the needs of all learners.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has a ripple effect that goes far beyond supplies—it creates a classroom environment where students feel valued, supported, and cared for. The resources you have made possible will allow me to devote more energy to what truly matters: guiding students in their learning journey and meeting them where they are. Every drawer, bin, and folder you've provided represents not just organization, but opportunity.\r\n\r\nFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in the power of education and for helping me create a space where all students can thrive. Your contribution has brought more than just books into our classroom—you've helped create moments of discovery, empathy, and deep discussion that are shaping the way my students think about the world and themselves.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is an active, engaging experience. We gather in small groups or as a whole class to read aloud, annotate, and discuss the novel. Students make connections to history, culture, and their own lives, often pausing to share insights or ask questions. We focus on critical reading skills such as identifying themes, analyzing character development, and making inferences—all while building vocabulary and fluency. With Esperanza Rising, we've especially explored themes of resilience, family, social justice, and identity.\r\n\r\nThe impact on students has been both academic and personal. Several of my English learners have connected deeply with Esperanza's journey as an immigrant and her struggle to adapt to a new language and way of life. \r\n\r\nThank you for believing in the power of books and in our classroom community. The diverse selection of books gives an equitable opportunity for all readers of different interests. \r\n\r\nWe have enjoyed using our new books not only for independent reading time, but also to read whole class. We have enjoyed reading the books \"Holes\" and \"Bridge to Terabithia\" as a class and completing a book report about it.
