This project has truly transformed my classroom into an even more safe, welcoming and inclusive learning environment. Having access to these hygiene products has made a world of difference for my students, many of whom face barriers to accessing basic necessities. I've set up a discreet corner of the classroom where students can freely grab the supplies they need without drawing attention to themselves. It's heartening to see them use the body spray or quietly take deodorants, soaps, toothbrushes, and other items home. What started with hesitance and uncertainty has evolved into a growing sense of trust and confidence as students realize these supplies are here just for them.\r\n\r\nThis project has helped my students take more pride in their appearance and personal hygiene, addressing an important part of their self-esteem and well-being. Before, many were embarrassed or shy because they lacked access to these basic items, which sometimes made social and academic interactions uncomfortable for them. Now, I see a noticeable change in their demeanor. They are less reserved, more willing to ask for what they need, and visibly more comfortable in their own skin. Beyond just meeting practical needs, this project has shown my students that someone cares about their well-being and that a simple act of kindness has made a lasting impact.
