Some mornings, breakfast is not as healthy or filling, and the same is true for lunch. These days, especially, students gratefully take a snack to keep them going until they depart. I am thankful for these goodies, especially as students often come to school for safety, community, and nourishment. With today's possible interruptions or all-out cuts to their food security, I am so heartened that generous donors such as you, who helped us accomplish this and bring this project to the finish line, are still willing to provide resources through this amazing Donors Choose platform.\r\n\r\nThere will never be enough in our inner city public schools. I look at so many other countries, where the food provided is more than adequate to support learning. Our at-risk kiddos understand the importance of a full stomach and the added treat of warm cocoa on a cool morning.
