The introduction of nets for sports like volleyball, badminton, and pickleball has ignited a newfound excitement among the students. They are not only eager to explore the versatility of these sports but also enthusiastic about learning the new skills each sport entails. As we delve into playing pickleball, the availability of the proper equipment like nets and balls has significantly enhanced the quality of our lessons. The positive impact is evident in the students' increased participation, enthusiasm, and overall enjoyment of physical education.","fullyFundedDate":1756939449450,"projectUrl":"project/active-pe-/9643282/","projectTitle":"Active PE !","teacherDisplayName":"Coach Saldivar","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10088180_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756274036597","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10088180"},{"teacherId":10048121,"projectId":9411924,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for contributing to my classroom project! With our new pickleball paddles, soccer goals, and wagon for transporting equipment, we've been able to expand our physical education program in meaningful ways. Students are now able to rotate between multiple sports during class, giving them more choice and helping them discover activities they truly enjoy.\r\n\r\nThe wagon has also made a huge difference—it allows us to safely and efficiently transport all of our equipment outdoors, which means more time for students to play and less time setting up.\r\n\r\nThese new resources have sparked a genuine interest in fitness and teamwork. Our next step is organizing small tournaments and skill-building stations, where students can set personal goals and track their improvement over time. Some students are even asking about playing sports like tennis or pickleball competitively in the future something they had never considered before receiving this equipment.\r\n\r\nYour support has given my students more than just sports equipment you've given them new experiences, new confidence, and new passions they are excited to explore. Thank you for making a real difference in their lives.","fullyFundedDate":1759963925183,"projectUrl":"project/vaas-pe/9773970/","projectTitle":"VAAS P.E","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. San Jose","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10242762"},{"teacherId":10242762,"projectId":9685551,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, our 9th and 10th grade students are now more excited about physical education than ever before! With the addition of our new badminton, pickleball, and volleyball nets, along with soccer goals, we've been able to introduce students to a wider variety of team and lifetime sports that encourage teamwork, skill development, and active lifestyles.\r\n\r\nThe reaction when students first saw the equipment was unforgettable many of them had never played these sports before, and they were genuinely eager to jump in and learn. One quiet student who rarely participated asked if he could be the first to serve in badminton. Another group of students immediately started organizing a 2-on-2 badminton rotation completely student-led! During soccer drills, some students stayed after class just to keep playing and practicing their shots.\r\n\r\nWhat surprised me most is how these new sports have sparked new interests and future goals for our students. Several students have already asked how they can join or even start teams for sports like tennis and badminton. For many of them, this was their first time realizing they could compete in individual or club-style sports and they now feel confident enough to try.\r\n\r\nRight now, our classes are working on building fundamental skills and learning game strategies. Our next steps include organizing friendly intramural tournaments and helping interested students explore local leagues and school team opportunities. Beyond just physical fitness, these experiences are helping students build confidence, leadership, and a stronger sense of community.\r\n\r\nYour support truly made this possible. You didn't just help us purchase equipment you opened doors to new athletic opportunities and inspired students to challenge themselves in new ways.
