Just as importantly, the books have helped students see that financial literacy is not simply about numbers—it is about developing the knowledge and confidence to make informed choices about their futures.\r\n\r\nIn our classroom, reading is an opportunity for discussion, reflection, and real-world application. We read sections together, discuss the ideas and examples presented, and connect them to situations students may soon encounter, such as earning their first paycheck, opening a bank account, using credit, paying for college, or planning for future financial goals. I especially enjoy seeing students become curious and ask questions about topics they may not have previously discussed at school or at home.
