My students have been using some very old technology in our classroom for the past few years. This 3D printer will project us into the new field of computer science. Computer science isn’t just important for their future, it’s important for our country’s future. If we want America to remain on the cutting edge of technology, we need this generation to master those tools. I recently attended a computer science conference where I learned how to teach 3D printing skills and would like to share my newly acquired knowledge with my students. Teaching for me isn't just about technology--It’s about helping the students to become the best they can be. I love this school because we are values-based. Every day we get to focus on helping our students become good people in our society who make the world a better place, and with updated technology, maybe they can make that difference through computer science.
