These resources have also given me greater flexibility and creativity in my teaching, helping me build lessons that encourage students to participate, take risks, and develop confidence in their abilities.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite classroom moments was seeing students become excited and proud when they successfully completed an activity using the new resources. Students who initially hesitated to participate began engaging more actively and encouraging one another. Because of your generosity, we were able to create a social-emotional library for high school students filled with books, graphic novels, journals, and workbooks focused on topics such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, friendship, resilience, and hope.\r\n\r\nTo help students find resources that matched their needs, I created a book guide that briefly described each title and identified the topics it addressed. Students could review the guide and choose a book that felt relevant to their own experiences. Some students were drawn to graphic novels and stories that helped them feel less alone, while others preferred interactive workbooks and journals that taught practical coping skills. The books introduced lessons on managing anxiety, building self-confidence, understanding emotions, practicing gratitude, developing healthy coping strategies, and navigating difficult life experiences.\r\n\r\nOne of the most meaningful impacts of this project was the support it provided to students who were waiting to begin therapy or who were unable to access counseling services outside of school. Rather than leaving empty-handed after asking for help, students were able to take home a resource that they could keep, revisit, and learn from at their own pace. These books and workbooks became an extension of the support available on campus and helped students continue their growth beyond the school day.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping us place these resources directly into the hands of students. The games allow my students to practice critical thinking, reading, and communication with their peers while reinforcing concepts we are learning during direct instruction and worksheets.\r\n\r\nMy students were thrilled when they first saw the board games. At first, they thought the games were only going to be used during our \"Fun Friday\" activities. They were very excited to learn that they would be able to play them more regularly because the games are connected to academic learning. The excitement and motivation these games bring has made learning feel fun and rewarding for my students.\r\n\r\nThe next step is to help students transfer the skills they practice during the games into their independent work, including worksheets, class assignments, and assessments. By repeatedly practicing reading comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills in a game-based format, students will build confidence and improve their ability to apply those skills during academic tasks.
