These iPads will help my students improve in their math skills for most of my students have auditory or writing disabilities. It is difficult for them to listen to a lecture or write notes or a long period of time. If we had iPads in the room, my students would be able to access notes via PowerPoint or Google docs and then this information can be printed or emailed for students lacking motor skills, touch screens are more intuitive devices. With the iPads, I can create personalized lesson plans using various applications based on the needs of each student. There are a vast amount of apps available for the iPad specifically tailored to special needs children. Given these options, I can choose which apps best fit the math concept we are learning and to the way the students learn. I can also use class-wide apps like Plickers, eClicker, and Kahoots to assess the students, especially for those who have delay processing disabilities.
