This really helps because students will be able to make the modern day connections to inventions of our past to see how important they are. \r\n\r\nAs I was working out a teaching plan for this year, STEAM was at the front of my plan but I knew that money may be an obstacle. We can't stop thanking you enough for supporting us in our dream venture.\r\n\r\n We are truly grateful for your generosity in supplying them with the tools, the rakes, student friendly spades, shovels, wooden chips and the Fiskars Clippers to prune the dead roses.\r\n\r\n Our rose beds are clean and waiting to bloom in winter by November-December. The enchanting beauty of the blooms that students saw earlier has attracted more students to our Vibrant Rose Garden development project. Students were wary that they would get hurt while pruning, cutting & digging the weeds out.Their eyes shone like diamonds when they saw the long handed Fiskars, the rake. The tools reassured them and when they fell in the hardworking hands of our students the results had to be nothing less than rewarding.\r\n\r\n Our next step involves covering the rose beds with more wooden chips, adding rose food, planting iceberg magenta roses in place of the aphid-inflicted ones. This will not only further enhance beauty to our school but also prevent the soil from erosion.\r\n\r\n A billion blooming buds, thank you for donating to our \"Vibrant Rose Garden\" project. The moment the books arrived, I saw students passing them around, peeking at the covers, and asking, \"Can we start today?\"\r\n\r\nWe recently completed a book themed project inspired by these new additions. Students chose scenes and characters from the stories and created visual projects that connected the themes to their own lives. For example, with Coraline, several groups explored the idea of courage when facing fears and expressed it through art and short creative writings. The discussions were thoughtful, and the projects showed just how much the stories resonated with them.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue using these books in small reading groups and independent projects. Many of my students struggle with noise sensitivity, which can make it hard for them to focus, participate, or even feel comfortable in class. By using the headphones, they are able to block out distracting sounds and concentrate on their learning. This has helped create a calmer environment and given students the confidence to stay engaged during lessons and group activities.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for students is the sense of control and independence the headphones give them. They love that they can put them on whenever they feel overwhelmed, and they notice right away how it helps them feel calmer and more focused. Having this option makes them feel more included and ready to learn alongside their peers.\r\n\r\nOne student who often covered his ears during noisy times, like transitions or group discussions, now uses the earmuffs daily. Instead of withdrawing or asking to leave the classroom, he's able to stay with his classmates and participate. Another student who used to get anxious during read-alouds is now listening comfortably with the headphones on, raising her hand more often to share her thoughts. These small but powerful changes show how meaningful this technology is to my students.","fullyFundedDate":1749511144030,"projectUrl":"project/noise-canceling-headphones/9383550/","projectTitle":"Noise-Canceling Headphones","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Guevara","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9811211"},{"teacherId":9573326,"projectId":8777518,"letterContent":"On behalf of the students and staff of my math class at Souteast Middle School, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous donation.
