Funding this project allowed us to get acrylic pens, bookmarks, Christmas ornaments, placemats, rocks, beads, and other supplies to begin creating projects to promote kindness.\r\n\r\nOur weekly club meetings are centered around planning projects that we can do here at school and in our community. Students are empowered to believe that every little thing they do can have a big impact in the world.\r\n \r\nThe students were so excited to decorate Christmas ornaments to give to every staff member for the holidays. They also enjoyed making motivational bookmarks to hide in our school library for students to find and keep. We are currently painting kindness rocks to hide around campus. We were able to add more social emotional resources to our calming corner. The children really enjoyed the new books and characters that came with the set. They are know able to look at themselves and describe how they are feeling and find the spot that relates to them. We have noticed that is has become a more popular area and they are able to communicate the use of the area to others. The other cultural books that were donated were put in our library since we didn't have a variety of multi-cultural books.
