During our independent work times, students use their glue sticks to work on cut and glue activities, such as sorting by beginning sounds, matching pictures to words they are learning to read, or sequencing numbers. It's so nice that my kindergartners can use these glue sticks to complete their work with little to no mess at all. \r\n\r\nAnd of course, what is a kindergarten class without art. The glue sticks are used to complete our numerous art projects. We make lots of crafts each month to celebrate the holidays or special events and the glue sticks have been so handy for completing these projects. Our art has included crafts for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Latino heritage month, and soon Christmas. My students enjoy making these crafts and most of all I enjoy decorating our room with all of their artwork. It makes our room so cozy, lived in, and inviting. I love seeing my students react to seeing their work on display. \r\n\r\n In addition, I make a scrapbook for my kindergartners for each month of school. The glue sticks are my go to tool for attaching their art and their photo to the scrapbook paper. These scrapbooks would not get done without all these glue sticks. And parents and families are so happy to have this memory book at the end of the year. \r\n\r\nBest of all, I love that I never have to stress about running out of glue sticks. At the end of the day, my students are 5 years old and don't always take care of their glue sticks or may lose the top, and I love that I can easily just give them another without worrying that I will run out. \r\n\r\nIn short, your donation to this project has made a big difference in my classroom.
