My project will provide my students with the opportunity to listen to different stories. During reading time my class is divided into groups so that I can differentiate instruction while they work independently. The listening center materials I'm requesting will be placed on a table that will be accessible to students. A listening center will help my students understand how to read a book with intonation, fluency, and expression. Listening to a story will also help my students that are struggling with reading. Hearing stories read to them will motivate them to learn to read and foster a love for books.
