They were especially drawn to the colorful magnetic drawing boards and new art supplies. One memorable moment was during a small group activity where students used the animal stencils and dry-erase markers to create their own portrait combining creativity with early literacy skills. It sparked so much joy and conversation among them!\r\n\r\nWe are using the new resources across various areas of our day. The rotating art supply caddies have transformed our art center, keeping materials organized and accessible, which encourages independence and creativity. The dry-erase markers and clipboards have been especially useful during outdoor learning activities, giving students the tools to practice writing, counting, and drawing in new environments.\r\n\r\nAs we continue exploring our current unit on colors, numbers, and self-expression, these supplies allow us to create engaging, hands-on experiences tailored to each student's developmental needs. Our next steps include extending our math and literacy centers with these tools, practicing number recognition with magnetic numbers, building fine motor skills with stencils and highlighters, and deepening language development through art-based storytelling. Thanks to your support, our classroom is more vibrant, inclusive, and full of opportunity!","fullyFundedDate":1746785945689,"projectUrl":"project/request-for-classroom-supplies-to-enhanc/9209390/","projectTitle":"Request for Classroom Supplies to Enhance Student Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rodriguez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9966898_orig.jpg?crop=600,600,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741731035910","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9966898"},{"teacherId":9966898,"projectId":9157657,"letterContent":"I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous support of our DonorsChoose project, \"Transforming UTK/CC Special Education With a Smart Board.\" Because of your kindness, our UTK/CC Special Education classroom now has a powerful, interactive Smart Board that is making a significant impact on how our students learn, grow, and engage each day. \r\n\r\nIn our classroom, the Smart Board has become an essential teaching tool that helps us reach our students in ways that are developmentally appropriate, accessible, and deeply meaningful. In special education, it's important to meet students where they are, and this technology allows us to do just that. The Smart Board provides visual, auditory, and tactile input all in one space, helping us differentiate lessons and make abstract concepts come to life.\r\n\r\nOne of the most powerful uses of the Smart Board has been during our music and movement times. Each morning, we begin with songs that build language, rhythm, and motor skills. The Smart Board allows us to display these songs in a large, colorful format with visuals that support comprehension and participation. As the music plays, students can follow along with movement cues and visuals that guide them through each song. \r\n\r\nThis multi-sensory approach is especially effective for our students with communication and processing challenges. Music and movement sessions have become one of the most joyful parts of our day, and student participation has soared.\r\nThese interactive activities hold their attention in ways that traditional paper-based tasks often cannot. We use the Smart Board for literacy, math, calendar routines, and even social-emotional learning games. The level of engagement it brings is unmatched; students are not just watching a lesson; they are part of it.\r\n\r\nIn just a few weeks, our students have shown noticeable growth, not only in academic skills, but also in confidence, communication, and peer interaction. The Smart Board has transformed our classroom into a space that is more inclusive, engaging, and fun.\r\nThank you for believing in our students and in the power of technology to support early learning. Your generosity has truly made a difference in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1746786493990,"projectUrl":"project/transforming-utkcc-special-education-wi/9157657/","projectTitle":"Transforming UTK/CC Special Education With a Smart Board","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rodriguez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9966898_orig.jpg?crop=600,600,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1741731035910","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9966898"},{"teacherId":7997675,"projectId":8676109,"letterContent":"I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous donations.
