Since we received the bean bag chairs and rug, the students have been so excited to come to math intervention. They have opened up a lot with expressing themselves and sharing their mathematical reasoning with one another. \r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials they ran and tried to jump on the bean bags, and some made angels on the carpet. I feel like the soft textures really made them feel safe and comforted. \r\n\r\nGoing forward, I want to continue to enhance my classroom environment so that the space is inclusive and collaborative. Regardless, my new batch of 5th graders are invested and continue to indulge in reading.
