We used to have an oval carpet and to share out our work or any part of our curriculum was always difficult. We are now able to sit with ease and form a big enough circle (where we the kids all fit) for circle time. Circle time for us is when we share out our feelings and discuss social behaviors that are happening in our classroom family. Instead of trying to figure out where to sit to accommodate everyone, we are all able to do this easy. This way being able to get to our circle time quicker. It has really made a difference. \r\n\r\nThe students are taking so well care of the rug. It is amazing to see. Instead of walking on the rug, the use their knees to get to their space. One of my students suggested to do this in order for the rug to last a really long time. So of course everyone agreed that this was the protocol. The kids love the rug and they are working hard to keep their safe space a beautiful one. Plus it looks amazing in our classroom. Who doesn't want to come into an amazing space :) \r\n\r\nThank you again for helping us with such a beauty of a rug. It not only has provided us with a calm space, it has made the whole classroom a calm space. I can't thank you enough for doing this for us.
