This truly became so useful as we were able to recruit 51 students on the team which had not happened since the school first opened. This provided all of the 51 Decathletes an opportunity to feel empowered. We immediately put the materials to use by designing and creating our own team sweaters. Students worked together to choose fonts, graphics, vinyl placements, and they took turns learning how to load, cut, weed, and press each sweater before school, during class, and after school. It quickly became a collaborative project that blended creativity, leaderships, and school spirit. The Cricut bundle became such a way for students to feel empowered and seen!\r\n\r\nThe first day we unboxed the Cricut materials, students were genuinely excited and surprised. Many had never seen or used a professional cutting machine before. Their faces lit up as soon as the first design came out perfectly cut. One student proudly said, \"This looks like something from a store!\" That moment solidified the meaningful impact your generosity provided the students and helped them gain confidence and ownership over the project. They immediately began brainstorming even more ideas for team t-shirts and team jackets!\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, the Cricut bundle will support ongoing Academic Decathlon projects. Students plan to design signage for scrimmages, personalized name badges, certificates for competition awards, and small thank-you gifts for judges and volunteers. They are also exploring how to integrate design and branding into future fundraisers and community events using the Cricut bundle to build team recognition and professionalism.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving our students a tool that has sparked creativity, strengthened collaboration, and helped them feel proud to represent our school and community. Your support has truly made a lasting impact.","fullyFundedDate":1746786005699,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-achievement-through-creativit/9081384/","projectTitle":"Empowering Achievement Through Creativity: Cricut Bundle for Academic Decathlon Pride","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Beltran","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9908263_orig.jpg?crop=1242,1242,x0,y289&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1737862508296","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9908263"},{"teacherId":1717544,"projectId":9098641,"letterContent":"Students were able to celebrate their academic success by also representing their heritage.
