The donated Freedom Soy Wax allowed us to create over 50 handmade candles, all crafted by students in our Career and Transition Classroom. Once the candles were finished, students proudly sold them to families, staff, and peers on campus.\r\n\r\nOne memorable moment was when students took a community outing to the candle supply store to select wicks, warning labels, and their favorite scents. They were able to plan their inventory, budget costs, and make real-world purchasing decisions — all skills that directly support their vocational development. When the materials first arrived, the excitement was immediate. Students couldn't wait to get started! Throughout the process, they worked together with focus and enthusiasm — and the moment they saw their completed candles lined up and ready to sell, their pride was shining as bright as the candles themselves. We even had students asking, \"When are we making candles again?\"\r\n\r\nThe money raised from their candle sales will help fund future candle batches and support ongoing needs in our CTC program. This project has now become a sustainable, year-long learning opportunity where students continue to build fine motor skills, teamwork, independence, and confidence as they produce something tangible and valued by others.\r\n\r\nYour support gave my students more than supplies — it gave them success they could see, touch, and proudly share. We are beyond grateful for the continued creativity, growth, and empowerment this project has sparked in our classroom.
