One of my favorite moments was seeing a group of students explore the bins during literacy centers, proudly discovering books they hadn't noticed before and recommending titles to one another.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we will continue using the bins to support our reading routines, including helping students select \"just-right\" books and rotating themed selections for weekly units. Having an organized and accessible library gives students more ownership of their learning and creates meaningful opportunities for them to engage with books independently. Reading time has become one of the most joyful parts of our day, with students eagerly gathering on the carpet, acting out scenes, and participating in shared reading routines.\r\n\r\nThe plush characters have made reading even more meaningful and accessible, especially for students who are usually hesitant to participate. One of my reluctant readers now proudly holds the Smart Cookie plushie during lessons and has begun pointing out words she recognizes in the text. When the new materials first arrived, my students couldn't contain their excitement, diving right into games like the JUNWRROW Magnetic Bingo Wand and GKDOMS Counting Dinosaurs, which encouraged collaboration, counting, and matching.
