I can't believe it has been so long since then. Anyways, thank you for your donations from the previous school year! With the items that I purchased from your donations, we were able to better implement systems where students could access needed materials, and your donations even prompted us to begin my first trial of classroom jobs--- thus increasing the stakeholdership of the students. ANDDDD reading levels vastly improved among 7th grade!\r\n\r\nAs we go into the new school year, I am in still in gratitude for the contributions that you made since we are still using most of the items today! Again, even tho it's been a year (AHHHH), thank you for your support!","fullyFundedDate":1754370006438,"projectUrl":"project/back-to-school-7th-grade-edition/9465561/","projectTitle":"Back to School: 7th Grade Edition!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mylee","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10076008_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y176&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753723907512","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10076008"},{"teacherId":9828415,"projectId":9864040,"letterContent":"Because of your generosity, these new resources have already made a meaningful difference in our classroom. Students are using the materials daily during small group instruction, independent practice, and collaborative learning. One powerful moment was during a recent math lesson on fractions. Students used the new materials to physically manipulate and model fraction parts, which helped them visualize concepts that had previously felt abstract. I watched students who often struggle with confidence eagerly participate, explain their thinking, and stay engaged for longer periods of time. The resources created a more supportive, hands-on environment where students could truly access the learning.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, we are continuing to build deeper learning experiences. Students are now using these resources to work on more complex tasks, including collaborative projects, problem-solving activities, and independent goal setting. They are developing not only academic skills, but also confidence, perseverance, and a stronger sense of belonging in the classroom.\r\n\r\nYour contribution has helped create a space where students feel supported, capable, and excited to learn. You have directly impacted their daily experience, and your generosity will continue to benefit them throughout the year. They were immediately drawn to the size and the improved setup (with substrate instead of reptile carpet that can be harmful for leopard geckos), and many commented on how comfortable and active Spyro appeared in his new environment. Students take turns caring for him, and the upgraded habitat has provided them with a meaningful opportunity to observe his behaviors and daily routines. This experience has deepened their understanding of responsibility and animal care, while also reinforcing key concepts from our science lessons on ecosystems and living organisms.\r\n\r\nThese new materials have transformed Spyro's habitat into a valuable hands-on learning tool in our classroom. Students are currently working on research projects about reptiles and their ecosystems, using Spyro's tank as a real-life example of how animals adapt to their surroundings. Their enthusiasm and curiosity have grown tremendously, and they are making clear connections between classroom learning and the world around them. Thank you for helping us create a more engaging and educational environment for all students.","fullyFundedDate":1757782706344,"projectUrl":"project/help-upgrade-spyros-home/9607909/","projectTitle":"Help Upgrade Spyro's Home","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Amy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9576111_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y168&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752182785179","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9576111"},{"teacherId":9921825,"projectId":9109790,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support in providing our classroom with new books. These texts have transformed reading into an exciting, collaborative experience.\r\nWe introduced book clubs, where students chose books and series that sparked their interest. Each week, they meet in their clubs to use the Somebody–Wanted–But–So–Then strategy to summarize, identify story elements, and discuss problems and conflicts. Along the way, we've practiced important skills like making inferences, strengthening comprehension, and using the RACE strategy to cite evidence and explain their thinking.\r\nWhat makes this so powerful is the joy students are experiencing. They are genuinely excited to read, share their favorite parts, and even compare themes across different books. Many are discovering a deeper love for literacy and asking if they can read ahead—something every teacher loves to hear!\r\nYour generosity made this possible.
