We are incredibly grateful for your support and excited about the opportunities this technology brings to our classroom. As teachers, we use printed materials every single day, and having a reliable printer that can make up to 3,500 color copies and 5,000 black-and-white copies while using very little ink is truly amazing. Your kindness is helping us provide high-quality learning materials without constantly worrying about running out of ink or making copies sparingly.\r\n\r\nThis printer is already making a huge difference in how my students learn. In kindergarten, bright visuals and engaging materials are so important because our students are learning through pictures, colors, hands-on activities, and interactive lessons. With this printer, I can create colorful literacy centers, math games, sight word activities, class books, science materials, and social-emotional learning resources that capture students' attention and make learning more meaningful. The students are especially excited when they see their work printed in color or when they receive vibrant learning activities that feel special and fun. The quality of the materials helps keep them engaged and motivated to participate.\r\n\r\nSome of my students who need extra support have especially benefited from this new technology. Many young learners respond best to visual learning tools, and the colorful materials help them focus, stay organized, and better understand concepts being taught. Students who may struggle with attention or confidence become more excited to participate when activities are visually appealing and interactive. Being able to quickly print differentiated materials also allows me to better meet the individual needs of all my students. Thank you again for investing in our classroom and helping create a more engaging, supportive, and joyful learning environment for our students every day.","fullyFundedDate":1772762524877,"projectUrl":"project/stem-in-full-color/9898276/","projectTitle":"STEM in Full Color!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bergin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1212529_orig.jpg?crop=590,590,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1632013934861","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1212529"},{"teacherId":1212529,"projectId":10018038,"letterContent":"Receiving their favorite Mo Willems book to take home has a powerful and lasting impact on my kindergarten students. It builds a deep sense of pride, ownership, and excitement around reading. Because this story is familiar, funny, and engaging, students are eager to revisit this book again and again—helping to build confidence, fluency, and comprehension. Having a beloved book at home also encourages families to read together, strengthening the home–school connection. Most importantly, this experience helps spark a genuine love of reading, showing students that books are not just for school, but something to treasure and enjoy every day. Other students wear shirts that are ragged or torn since they only own the one shirt. \r\n\r\nThank you for allowing us to help these families by giving them an extra uniform shirt. The calming colors rug is used during our whole group instruction, circle time, and center time as our blocks area. Each student has been assigned a square on the rug as their personal space. They use their space to create safe boundaries for sitting and participating in daily stretches. They love having their own space. During circle time they form a circle on it and talk about how they are feeling that day and why. This gives me insight into how the day might go and if I need to address anything before our day begins. The beautiful rug also serves as a designated space for students to explore blocks and use their imagination to build buildings, ramps, and play while learning about cars, trains, and community life during center time. The modern vinyl chair is not only cute but also very durable. It is being used in the library area. It provides the students a place to comfortably sit down and enjoy exploring their favorite book. The calming color soft seats serve as seating when students visit the calming corner. They are comfortable and they love the colors. They get to sit with friends who are struggling emotionally and need a space to find their center; hence providing them with a \"Zen Classroom.\"\r\n\r\nThe students were very excited with all the new resources. They couldn't wait to use the chair in the library area and the cushions in the calming corner. The squares on the calming rug offered students personal space and comfort. The colors serve as a way to line them up according to color in an orderly fashion and are soothing to the eye. \r\n\r\nWe recently began the wheels study which means students will be using the calming colors rug to explore objects with wheels as well as create ramps to learn about how the height of the ramp impacts speed. In the library area they will be using the vinyl chair to read books that feature any type of wheel. The cushions will continue to offer a place of comfort for them to manage their emotions. In the Wheels study students will be learning to expand their understanding of wheels beyond the tires on a car and discover the wide variety of wheels in their school and community.
