It meant so much to my students to know that people out there support us. My students used the paint pens to create mural artwork and for a door decorating project. We even used them to assist us in a gingerbread competition.\r\n\r\nThe books have been loved by so many students. Percy Jackson is a comfort read for so many students - the nostalgia is real! The Heartstopper series is one of the most beloved graphic novel series in my class. My LGBTQ population feels really seen reading about Charlie and Nick's love story. I think my non-LGBTQ students gain a lot of understanding and empathy through reading these books, as well.\r\n\r\nDuring these chaotic times, it's the little things that make a huge difference to students. A favorite book, art materials, stress balls, etc - they make students feel at home.
