Almost all of my class knows all of their letters and sounds because of items such as the anti- roll triangle crayons that we use every day as we work on our letter books. The play-dough has been a great addition to our class as well in helping students practice their number recognition. \r\n\r\nWe are learning all about buildings as a part of our Creative Curriculum. We have been using things such as the magnetic cubes to build different kinds of buildings that we see in our community. We have also used the cubes and other materials to recreate scenes from books that we have read to practice sequencing events. \r\n\r\nWe cannot thank you enough for your kindness and support. I cannot wait to see my students grow some more as we continue to use all of the materials that were donated to us by you.","fullyFundedDate":1755521978287,"projectUrl":"project/building-skills-one-toy-at-a-time/9526958/","projectTitle":"Building Skills One Toy at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Martinez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10107705_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754100164906","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10107705"},{"teacherId":8600368,"projectId":9540877,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations to our project! Because of your support, our classroom now has brand-new testing dividers, and they have already made a huge difference in our daily learning environment. My students were so excited when we unboxed them—they couldn't believe that people who have never even met them would care enough to invest in their education.\r\n\r\nSince we started using the testing dividers, my students have shared that they feel more comfortable, focused, and confident during tests and independent work. They love having their own \"little workspace\" where they can concentrate without distractions or worrying about what others around them are doing. For some of my more anxious test-takers, the dividers have helped them feel calmer and happier about taking tests, which is something I never imagined they would say!\r\n\r\nYour kindness has not only provided us with helpful classroom tools, but it has also shown my students that there are caring adults out there cheering them on. Thank you for believing in them and for supporting our classroom. We are truly grateful for your generosity, and we will think of you each time we set up our dividers and get ready to do our best.","fullyFundedDate":1762266382726,"projectUrl":"project/quiet-minds-fair-tests-privacy-for-eve/9540877/","projectTitle":"Quiet Minds, Fair Tests: Privacy for Every Student","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Orme","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8600368_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1660101739339","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8600368"},{"teacherId":8600368,"projectId":9540706,"letterContent":"I'm thrilled to share that our project for small notebooks and student desk name plates has been fully funded—because of you! Thank you for believing in my 5th graders and giving them tools they'll use every single day.\r\n\r\nThe notebooks are already transforming routines. Students are using them as math strategy journals, reading response logs, science observation books, and quick \"exit ticket\" check-ins. Having a personal place to capture thinking is building ownership and confidence—especially for my multilingual learners and students with IEPs, who benefit from a consistent space to reference sentence frames, vocabulary, and worked examples.\r\n\r\nThe name plates have done more than label desks. They've brought order and calm to transitions, cut down on lost learning time (\"Whose seat is this?\" is no longer a daily mystery!), and given each student a sense of belonging at a clearly defined workspace. The built-in reference tools on the plates (alphabet/number line/place value) are helping students work more independently and accurately.\r\n\r\nAlready I'm hearing comments like, \"I like seeing my progress in one place,\" and \"My desk feels like my own spot to learn.\" Those small moments add up to big growth over the year, and your generosity made them possible.\r\n\r\nI'll post photos and updates so you can see these materials in action and the learning you sparked. From me and from 30 very grateful fifth graders—thank you for investing in our classroom and our community.","fullyFundedDate":1755222411366,"projectUrl":"project/tools-for-thought-journals-names-and/9540706/","projectTitle":"Tools for Thought: Journals, Names, and Neatness","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Orme","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8600368_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1660101739339","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8600368"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_7613","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":297,"numTeachers":20,"percentFrplEligible":70,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":8,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":80,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":91.2,"schoolId":7613,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Seventh Street Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Seventh Street Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/los-angeles-unified-school-district/7th-street-elementary-school/7613"}
