Dance Class is so much more enthusiastic and energetic! My students look forward to dancing now that we have some loud music to dance to (we were previoulsy using a small bluetooth speaker). It has made my natural dancers more into it which is feeding into the rest of the class and our dance is coming together very nicely! \r\nAlong with Dance our public speaking has also gotten a power up! The microphone has motivated my students to WANT to go in front of everyone. It has especially helped my quite students. Now they don't have to worry about the volume and focus on speaking clearly and with emotion, something we have been working on for the past couple months. Before, it was like pulling teeth to perform, and now it is enjoybale for everyone.\r\nI have also utilized it during our English class. Nobody liked to read out loud before, and now I have students getting mad I didn't choose them to read (even the quite kids who never read want to read) because I let them use the microphone to read. They couldn't stop smiling, giggling, and twirling around. For many of my students, this was their very first time putting on something that symbolizes accomplishment and pride. Seeing them look in the mirror and recognize themselves as \"big kids\" ready for the next step was incredibly moving.\r\n\r\nWe used the caps and gowns for our graduation photo day, and it turned into such a meaningful experience. Students practiced walking in a \"mini ceremony,\" received pretend diplomas, and posed for pictures that captured their excitement and confidence. These photos will be framed and gifted to families as a keepsake—a reminder of how much their children have grown in just one year. Parents were deeply touched and shared how proud they were to see their child celebrated in this way.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, this project created not just a photo opportunity, but a powerful memory. My students now associate learning and effort with celebration and pride. They understand that their hard work matters, and they left kindergarten feeling inspired to continue dreaming big as they move into first grade and beyond. This experience planted a seed of confidence that I know will carry them through their future school years.","fullyFundedDate":1746786126425,"projectUrl":"project/little-grads-big-dreams/9261755/","projectTitle":"Little Grads, Big Dreams","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lopez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9082400_orig.png?crop=1024,1024,x0,y317&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1765301167560","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mslopezkinderwonderland"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_7544","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":878,"numTeachers":44,"percentFrplEligible":86,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":6,"percentWhite":6,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":81,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":2,"gradesServed":"K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"20.0:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":87.3,"schoolId":7544,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about 32nd - USC Performing Arts School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"32nd - USC Performing Arts School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/los-angeles-unified-school-district/32nd-usc-performing-arts-school/7544"}
