It has been really hot weather and I have been able to keep there water bottles and thermoses cold throughout because the ice maker. This has truly been the highlight of their year, and we couldn't have done it without your help.\r\n\r\nMy students have been working since January, learning about all the different types of puppets, where they come from, and how to use them. We ended the unit with a final project : making their own sock puppets based off a children's picture book. \r\n\r\nWhen I showed my students all the supplies they were going to have access to, including everything you donated, my students were practically jumping with excitement. This has been the project they had been looking forward to for months, and then they finally got to start. I loved hearing my students come tell me they're excited to work on their puppet that day. \r\n\r\nSince starting, my students have been hard at work crafting their puppets. They will continue to work on their puppets for the next couple days to finish out the school year. This shared space has become a central part of our day, where students feel connected and ready to participate. \r\n\r\nBeyond direct instruction, the rug has fostered collaboration and creativity. Its inviting design encourages students to gather for group activities, partner work, and discussions. It has also become a favorite spot for independent and small-group reading, as students feel comfortable and relaxed while immersed in books.
